Yes! Halloween is going to be an insane, sludgy weeklong ride down the pumpkin hole of partying. No idea what I’m going to be: maybe I’ll go as Lady Bear.

Meanwhile, there are more and even more parties, Halloween or no. Your soundtrack is this four hour-recording from the final Honey Soundsystem weekly party last Sunday, which starts with a deep tribal-disco vocal performance by the legendary Jorge Socarras, the musical partner of deceased gay electronic music wizard Patrick Cowley, and continues through many amazing stages of musical pre-grief. Including! A wedding proposal! So wonderful and weird, we’ll miss you Honey:

(Click on the titles below for Facebook invite etc.)

    >>LOOSE JOINTS

If anything brings the multitude of San Francisco’s nightlife flavors together it’s this weekly Friday party — celebrating its fifth year tonight. DJ’s Tom Thump, Damon, Bell, and Centipede drop everything from Latin funk and space-disco grooves to contemporary deep house and UK Bass. It’s dance floor bliss, and for this blowout they’ve invited the Afrolicious, Sweater Funk, and Motown on Mondays crews to take us on a musical trip around the galaxy.

    Fri/25, 10pm, $5. Make-Out Room, 3225 22nd St., SF. www.makeoutroom.com

    >>MGUN AND VEREKER

Now that Honey has vacated the Holy Cow premises, it’s opening up to all kinds of parties — including longtime Bay favorite for bass and cutting edge house enthusiasts, Icee Hot. Detroit native MGUN, aka Manuel Gonzales steps in with his capacious, atmospheric sound. He’s joined by local-boy-with-big-buzz Vereker, whose sets get rough and dirty in the sound level department, mmmm.

    Fri/25, 10pm, $5 before 11pm. Holy Cow, 1535 Folsom, SF. www.facebook.com/iceehot

    >>JUANITA MORE’S RUNWAY MASSACRE

Fierce drag mother of the nightlife scene Juanita More injects some glamour and fashion into the usual Halloween party proceedings. Get your looks together for a $3000 cash prize costume contest, a red carpet rollout, disco tunes from Robert Jeffrey and the Go Bang! DJs, a fabulous crowd, and special scary-lovely surprises. Plus, um, it’s Juanita — you’re pretty much commanded by the dance floor to go.

    Sat/26, 9pm, $25. Jones, 620 Jones, SF. www.juanitamore.com

    >>BONOBO

The adored trip-hoppishy Ninja Tune DJ has his full band in tow for this show at the Warfield — I saw the whole crew a couple years ago at Mezzanine, and the crowd was rapturous.

    Sat/26, 9pm, $26. The Warfield, 982 Market, SF. www.thewarfieldtheatre.com

    >>FREAKER’S BALL

This annual two-day costume party/ freakfest is a supercute hoot. Emotive tech-house DJ Pumpkin (of course) pops in among dozens of others including Quantic and Silkie .. .and hey! Bonobo pops in on Saturday for a guest set. (My friends on the East Coast breathlessly report how much Bonobo’s sets have been slaying underground crowds lately, so don’t miss this.)

    Fri/25 and Sat/26, $30/$40. Public Works, 161 Erie, SF. www.publicsf.com

    >>DARK CADAVERET

The ghoulie kiddies of witchy electronic netherworld Dark Room team up with high-goddess of camp horror Peaches Christ to bring their annual spookfest extravaganza Cadavaret to the scary Du Nord basement. With performances by Lady Bear, Phatima Rude, Drewnicorn, DADDIES PLASTIK, and more.

    Sat/26, 9:30pm, $12. Cafe Du Nord, 2174 Market, SF. www.cafedunord.com

    >>CHARLOTTE THE BARONESS

Awesome beloved old-school techno and house DJ pops in from Chicago — with excellent global funk ex-pat DJ Tee Cardaci from Brazil! It’s an SF royalty reunion and it’ll sound so sweet.

    Sat/26, 8:30, $10. Project One, 251 Rhode Island, SF. www.p1sf.com
