Surely when Joan Soriano left his Dominican fishing town for the bright lights of bachata central Villa Mella — at 13! — he couldn’t have anticipated that a San Francisco culture writer’s fireworks hangover would be alleviated by his NPR concert. For more Soriano, check out his gigs at Cafe Cocomo on Fri/6 and Impala for “Hot Bachata Nights” on Sun/8.
