An epic musically charged comedy directed by John Landis, the likes of which has never been seen before or since. While gathering their old band members together for a concert to raise funds for the orphanage where they were raised, ex-con Jake Blues (John Belushi) and his brother Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) must dodge the police, angry country-and-western fans, and Jake’s jilted fiancée (Carrie Fisher). High-speed car chases lead to mind-bending car crashes that come between exciting music set pieces which feature Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, John Lee Hooker, Cab Calloway, and, of course, the Blues Brothers Band.
