Today we launch SFBG radio, with host Johnny Angel Wendell. His show will be appearing twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays. On today‘s show, Johnny talks to Tim Redmond about the governor’s race, reapportionment and the state of state politics.

Johnny Angel SFBG Radio Show 4/28 by SFBG

Johnny Angel Wendell is a nice boy from the Boston suburbs gone horribly awry. For the last 30+ years, he has led punk and indie rock bands Thrills and the Blackjacks, as well as comic/performance art buffoons the Swinging Erudites and San Fran’s Creeps in Exile. When not mauling a guitar, he has been a columnist for the Boston Phoenix, Bay Guardian and LA Weekly and more recently a talk show host on KTLK-AM 1150 and KFI 640 in Los Angeles as well as KIFR-FM and Green960 in the Bay Area. Presently, he is on KTLK M1150 in LA on Sunday nights and is webcasting for the SFBG (which you already know if you’re reading this page) and leads the traditional American music ensemble Johnny and the Wasted Knights. He is reachable through FaceBook at Johnny Angel/Wendell.
