“Collect My Thoughts”
From vibrant primaries to muted sepias, the color here is brazen, uncomfortable, and somehow impolite. Anne Faith Nicholls manages to harness the best of the worst of her pathologies into a coherent interpretation of pop art. In addition to working in acrylic on canvas, the artist alters old photographs, smearing the faces of proper Victorians with careful strokes. (K. Tighe)
